In the Heart of Roanoke’s West End Neighborhood

This is a photo of a beer from Golden Cactus Brewing outside the brewery, in front of a mural that features their logo. It reads, "Golden Cactus Brewing".

Our historic, open-air warehouse was originally a soda bottling factory for Royal Crown Cola in the 1950’s.

Used primarily for industrial storage throughout the latter half of the 20th century, the building was bought by three Virginia Tech college graduates who saw the potential for a great addition to downtown Roanoke’s craft-beer scene.

This is a pic of two grown people playing in the sand box outside of Golden Cactus Brewing. It's mostly there for kids, but sometimes folks modeling our merch wander in there too. Stop by for a beer and bring the family!

Located on the corner of 5th Street and Salem Avenue, Golden Cactus Brewing opened for business in August 2020.

Despite the conditions, our dedicated staff and growing community of regulars supported the brewery’s growth and establishment as one of Roanoke’s favorite destinations for beer, pinball, plants, and good vibes.

Free parking is available in a gravel lot on Campbell Ave, just past Aesy’s and Sweets by Shaneice.

Please park in spots designated by Blade Gaming and Golden Cactus Brewing signs to avoid fines and towing. Golden Cactus Brewing is just a short walk one block away.

Dogs are welcome!

However, for the safety of our staff, patrons, and fellow fur babies, all dogs must remain leashed for the entirety of their visit. Excessive barking or any aggressive behavior will not be tolerated.
